Inspired by the film “300”

This is my tribute to the spirit of bravery, courage and freedom. Leonidas, King of Sparta, standing with the conviction of the brave, in his final battle at Thermopylae.
The legend of a hero who represents a whole nation of brave men, who gave their lives to save Greece from the Persian invasion.
Leonidas was the Spartan king who led a small contingent of Greek allies in the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C. where the Greeks bravely defended the pass, through which the Persian king Xerxes sought to invade Greece with his immense army.
In the end, Leonidas and his 300 men were annihilated, but they gave the Greek City-States valuable time by leaving an inspiring example, not only what the Greek hoplites could achieve against the invading forces, but also, the price that the Greeks were willing to pay to maintain their freedom from foreign oppression.
