Fettercairn Distillery has always maintained a deep connection to the land around it and the people it shares it with, which is why they are working with foresters, sawmills, coopers, land managers and farmers to create a sustainable plan for the next 200 years.
Besides creating rare, pure and enlightened whisky, they have a deep commintement with Fettercairn Forest, rooted in their home, the land, and its people – and it’s growing more than purely Scottish oak trees. It’s helping to grow skills and businesses in local community, too.

Benriach is one of two remaining distilleries in Speyside that distills whisky using malted barley from its own floor maltings, celebrating a tradition that began when John Duff first founded the distillery in 1898.

For most of the year they source Scottish barley malted in Speyside to make Benriach whisky, however for one month each year local Scottish barley comes to the distillery and they celebrate the ancient tradition of malting the barley by hand at the historic malting house floor. They call it “Malting Season.”

Longmorn has quietly provided a sweet, deeply fruity component to a multitude of blends since its founding.
Its ferments are long, distillation is carried out in eight thick-necked stills, which gives a brew heavy enough to age well in both ex-Sherry and ex-Bourbon.
Longmorn was built by one one of the most interesting whiskey entrepreneurs of the 19th century, John Duff, who built Longmorn in 1893.
Five years later he built another plant next door: Benriach.
