The very special peat that sprouts near the distillery, dense and rich in heather, burns slowly and with amazing intensity, creating a complex floral aroma in the ovens.
That gives rise to the intensely balanced, smoky sweetness of Highland Park whiskeys.

Almost a year ago, a very kind person contacted me, sending me her very nice and personal photos of various distilleries, to inspire me.
Now it's time to start painting them, thanks a lot Brian, they really inspired me.

Highland Park Distillery is located in Kirkwall, it began distilling in 1798, in the same place that its founder, Magnus Eunson, established his original illegal still in High Park.
It is almost on the Arctic Circle, closer to Oslo than to London, where the North Sea rises to reach the Atlantic Ocean.

Following the tribute to The Glenmorangie distillery, I painted the most captivating view of its famous stills.
The distillery's distinguished tall stills produce a whiskey with a unique flavor profile.
They are the tallest in Scotland, with necks as tall as a giraffe, creating more room for the development of taste and aromas.

Inspired by a photograph by Pablo Tognetti.
Madoc is an Argentine Single Malt, produced by Pablo Tognetti in Dina Huapi, Patagonia, between the Andes Mountains and the steppe.
With a fresh and bold character, it evokes with its purity the snows of the Andes, followed with fruity accents, notes of nuts and dried fruits.
It is made using only Pilsen and Argentine malts, spring water and brewer's yeasts.
The used oak barrels were imported, but in the future they could use some aged in Mendoza with white wines.
The result is a single malt that is smooth in aroma and flavor, complex but not very intense, with slight tones fruity and lingering on the palate.
