Ardnamurchan Distillery opened in July 2014 and is one of Scotland's most remote distilleries, located on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula just north of the Isle of Mull and south of the Isle of Skye.
This distillery runs on renewable energy to reduce its carbon footprint.
It is powered by both hydroelectric power and a large biomass boiler using wood from the nearby Ardnamurchan Forest.
The boiler provides heat to the malts on the distillery floor.
Drawing the water for its whisky production from springs above the distillery, it uses the nearby Glenmore River as a source of refreshing water.

Rooted in centuries of illicit distillation, Raasay provides the ingredients for the perfect drink. Every drop of spirit is distilled, matured and bottled on the island using water from the Raasay distillery well.
The magical Isle of Raasay lies off the west coast of Scotland in the Inner Hebrides, separate from the Isle of Skye by a short 25-minute ferry ride.

Rising up to 26 feet (nearly 8 meters) tall, the Jura seats are some of the tallest Scottish distilleries.
Sending them to the tiny island was hard work, but they are so important in creating the smooth spirit and distinctive character of Jura Whisky.
