Colonia del Sacramento, known locally as Colonia, is the capital of the department of Colonia, in southwestern Uruguay.
Between January 20 and 28, 1680, Manuel Lobo founded the Nova Colônia do Santíssimo Sacramento, which was the first European settlement and the first and oldest city in what is now Uruguay.
I was inspired by two photos taken by Dr. Roxana Haas on the waterfront of the city of Colonia to paint this picture, dedicated to her in honor of her luminous spirit, full of energy, generosity and kindness.

The Monument to the Sea Wolf is a statue located in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
The sculpture consists of two figures made of stone, devised by the Argentine artist José Fioravanti in the 1940s and sculpted by the Slovenian Janez Anton Gruden.
The sculptures are located in the Argentine Army Square and are considered the greatest symbol of Mar del Plata, a city known as "The Happy".

Mar del Plata is a city located in the southeast of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the coast of the Argentine Sea.
It was founded with its current name on February 10, 1874 by Patricio Peralta Ramos, in a ranch owned by him, on the basis of the second of the three extinct Jesuit Missions of La Pampa, founded in the second half of the century XVIII.
The first settlers who occupied the area where the city of Mar del Plata stands today were the indigenous tribes of Indians called pampas whose way of life was based on hunting animals and gathering fruits that they obtained during their trips around the region.

Talisker Neist Point is an intense whiskey designed for whiskey lovers looking for new experiences, it has flavors that appear smoothly, with a crescendo of sea salt and spices that lead to a warm and sweetly smoky finish»
It is named after the most recognized cliff on the Isle of Skye and one of the most famous lighthouses in Scotland, Neist Point, located on the westernmost tip of the island.

Sitting along the coast of Port Askaig, Caol Ila looks out over the Sound of Islay and Jura. It is relatively hidden, thanks to the steep descent to the distillery from the main road.
Caol Ila is derived from the Gaelic Caol Ìle for "Sound of Islay"
