Although the teams of the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge cross the Atlantic Ocean without support, there are two safety yachts that keep an eye on the fleet throughout its journey.
All the skippers and crew do an excellent job taking care of the teams, working and sleeping in shifts, through unpredictable weather, often racking up far more miles than the teams themselves.
They also send out amazing live footage from the Atlantic to keep all observers up to date.

Lagavulin whiskey was born in this wonderful land, where the cool maritime climate lends itself perfectly to the distillation process and the Islay water is a key ingredient in its unique personality.

Challenged by Talisker, James Aiken sailed alone from La Gomera to Antigua.
During this time, he witnessed nature in all its might.
From big water swells and mountain waves, to gentle winds and raindrops the size of ping pong balls, his time at sea just reminds you of how important our seas are to sustaining life.
