Bye

At the end of 2016 I participated in this group exhibition of Visual Arts, with two works created especially during the month of December of that year.

"Morning Star" and "Night Star" show the faces of two women in the foreground, as allegories of the heat of the summer dawn and the freshness of the night sea breeze. Their unreal faces, full of intense colors, conjugate fantasies about the shades of the rainbow and the sunset.

Negro Absoluto

Absolut Black

After eight years away from exhibitions, I went back to taking up brushes, adapting my technique to acrylic on small and medium-sized frames.

For this collective exhibition, under the slogan of a completely black background, I made three paintings of a neosurrealist tone, in which the human figure disintegrates or metamorphoses according to the metamessage of each one.

«Butterfly Nebula» is a hymn to spiritual freedom, a dancing woman who spreads the wings of one of the most beautiful nebulae in the cosmos. Like a sublime paradox, the fragile wings of the butterfly expand in the colossal cosmic dimension of the immeasurable space of the universe.

«Free Spirit» is a self-portrait with a bow and arrow, since Archery is another of my passions, an ancient art that I enjoy practicing whenever I can. The painting is named after my bow, a definition of my own spirit with which a dear friend once described me.

"Senselessness" is a synchresis of multiple meanings. It represents duality, madness, deception, vanity and aggressiveness, an attribute of those who have confused the real meaning of life and are lost in the incoherence of a poor fiction, in which sooner or later their lie is exposed.

«Introspection» shows a human figure enraptured in itself, wrapped in the wings of an owl, a bird that symbolizes wisdom and self-knowledge. While the person keeps her ears covered and her gaze hidden in complete nudity, the bird strongly challenges the observer with a frontal and direct gaze, staring at her. Perhaps in a double attitude of protection of the knowledge of the one who dares to dive in its shadows, as well as questioning the observer, wanting to know if he will be able to dare to do so as well.

Salón de Técnicas de Realización Escenográfica del Teatro Colón

Scenographic Production Techniques Room of the Colón Theater

Within the IX and X Hall of Scenographic Realization Techniques, two collective exhibitions were held where paintings, sculptures and models were exhibited, made within the framework of the course dictated by the Colón Theater, opening the doors to the community so you can enjoy the works, mostly on a large scale, both originals and reproductions.

On this occasion, five of my 2 x 3 meter paintings were exhibited:

«Cathedrals I» (On original work in homage to Auguste Rodin)

«Cathedrals II» (On original work, homage to Albrecht Dürer)

«Images of Carcassonne» (original work)

«The Rape of Psyche» (Large-scale reproduction of the original by William Bouguereau)

«The liberation of Saint Peter» (Large-scale reproduction of the original by Rafael Sanzio).

In addition, "Man" and "Woman in Red" , works measuring 1 x 1.50 meters, and a Bas-relief , a copy of a detail of the Egyptian tomb of Nefertari, made with scenographic techniques.

Ballet

Ballet

«Ballet» - Dance Shows of the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón, directed by Mtro. Mario Gallizzi.

Within the framework of these two ballet shows, I was commissioned to create the scenographic background that would accompany both presentations.

For this, I painted five canvases in a series that I called «Dancing in the sky», in which you can see dancing couples performing pirouettes in different skies, representing my way of feeling dance: an elevation spiritual to another dimension through movement and music.

Exposición del Curso de Realización Escenográfica del Teatro Colón

Exhibition of the Scenographic Realization Course of the Colón Theater

Group exhibition of the Scenographic Realization Course of the Higher Institute of Art of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

I was invited to participate in the exhibition that the Scenographic Realization Workshop did in Rosario, Santa Fe.

A beautiful experience in which, once again, reproductions and original works were combined, both in painting and sculpture and modeling.

Rosario, always so close to Buenos Aires, and ready to share its magnificent architecture.

We were received with the best attitude, where art was experienced from its different expressions, in a weekend of exchange of ideas, culture and creativity.

Los grandes y sus raíces

The Greats and their Roots

In 2004 a tribute was made to our artists, recognizing the professional trajectory of great actors, writers, musicians and visual artists, descendants of different immigrant communities, who excelled in their artistic careers and laid the foundations for subsequent generations to be able to continue your work.

In this context, I was commissioned, together with another artist, to create and make a large 28 x 8 meter backdrop, where immigrant communities and the most prominent artists of the 20th century were represented.

It was a huge challenge, but one that we managed to carry out from start to finish in 5 days, working non-stop for more than 10 hours a day.

It has been a great satisfaction to be able to see this work realized and enjoy the beautiful show that excellent artists from different disciplines provided.

The music and dance show was organized by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and was carried out for the full benefit of the House of Theatre and the Favaloro Foundation.
